Today is a big day for Tweetburner. We have some exciting news we want to share with you.

Tweetburner started out as a pet project and is now considered a serious shortlinking service. We are more and more aware that Tweetburner is not only a useful service but also becoming part of an important infrastructure. Therefore we think the service deserves more attention and time to create more reliability.

A few weeks ago Michiel and I decided to focus on the future and find a team that could take care of this little bird. During our search we had a couple of good conversations with Crosspring. After these conversations it became apparent that Crosspring had the right spirit and energy to learn this bird how to fly.

Four new team members will join Tweetburner. With their combined skills they will give it their all, to make sure that the service you’ve come to know and love, will be sustained and improved.

That’s great news! In the interim, could you fix the update code on the stats charts — they currently end on Friday, December 12th (it is now Wednesday, December 17th) and do not appear to be updated, regardless of how many times I refresh. I know the data is there, but it’s not migrating to the YourStats page.

Hi Laura,

This has to do with our database problems last week. They are fixed, we didn’t loose any data. Also we do have all the tracking data from your links.

The problem is that the bindings that allows us to show the amount of clicks in the interface need to be activated again. We’re working on this, but at the moment we’re working on the Tweetburner transaction.

Last updated on 12/22/08, tried refreshing etc… no stat updates in several days.
